The head of staff, Miroslav Tanjga, confirmed before the match in Niš that the team dwindled, but that there are no excuses, and that he wants placement into the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup.

Players of Voša are playing against the team of Radnički on Wednesday at 4 pm, and Tanjga highlights that they are building optimism on the fact that they played a good first half against the Red Star.

  • We are facing another difficult game, and before this match we have some additional staffing issues – red card, two injured players, Bamidele under a question mark, because he spent two days at home due to a virus. We have no choice; we have to fight and believe that we can overcome all obstacles. The first half against the Red Star gives us right to be optimistic. Unfortunately, we failed to maintain that tempo until the end, but in my opinion the most important was the finish of the first half, that is, to save the lead of 2:0 before the end of the first half. If that was the case, we would have talked about this differently now. We learned some lessons, analyzed the game, we have to strengthen our team and give our everything to win – Tanjga said.

He then reflected on the recent victory of Vojvodina at Čair, with the result 4:1, and then explained the staffing issues in detail.

  • In the championship match in Niš we played against 10 players for the majority of the match, and that makes it a lot easier, you saw yourselves now against the Red Star how difficult it is to play with a player less. Vojvodina always played well in Niš and there is no reason not to continue that tradition. A victory would give us self-confidence, because the placement to the semi-finals motivates us additionally. We talk about all that, we work on that, but I am sorry that we don’t have a complete team at disposal. We had some issues before the Red Star as well, and now we don’t have four additional players, and that is why we had to pull two players from Kabel, who have double registration – Sukačev and Popović, and Veličković returned, he did only three training sessions. Matija Gočmanac, Lazar Nikolić, Uroš Nikolić, and Lucas Barros are injured, Dele has a virus, Aleksa Vukanović still hasn’t returned, Ranđelović ended the season, Collins had his first training with the team yesterday, and tomorrow he has to play. That is not an alibi, but simply, we are having some staffing issues and we can’t remember when we had such issues, but we have to find a way to win – Tanjga concluded.

Lazar Romanić also underlined that this will be a difficult game.

  • We are expecting a very hard and demanding match, because it comes right after the derby with the Red Star. We have to give our maximum to fulfil the demands of the coach, and win. Radnički is not an easy rival, I know their coach, but we will be ready and focused on our game. We want to win in Niš, and then in Lučani and confirm our placement to the play-off, because as one of the three biggest clubs in Serbia we have to rise to the expectations and have high ambitions – Romanić said.

The match between Radnički and Vojvodina is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 pm, with a live broadcast at Arena Premium 3.
