Football club Vojvodina informs the sports public that its former player Dragan Bošnjak passed away last night at the age of 63, after a long and severe illness.
Dragan Bošnjak was born on October 19, 1956 in Kanjiža, and his career began in 1975 in Spartak from Subotica. From 1976 to 1979, he was a member of Vojvodina, for which he played 102 matches, scored nine goals and was part of a generation that won the Central European Cup in 1977, the only international trophy in the history of the club.
After leaving Vojvodina, he played for Dinamo Zagreb, Dinamo from Vinkovci, Figueres from Spain and again Spartak from Subotica, where he finished his career.
The time and place of the funeral of Dragan Bošnjak will be known later.
