The coach of Vojvodina Božidar Bandović believes that the goals in the first half were crucial in the derby with TSC.

Tonight, Vojvodina lost at TSC Arena with the result 1:3, and Bandović took the responsibility for the defeat.

  • I think that we played well, especially in the first half, except in those two situations when we received two goals, which was non-permissible. In the second half, we raised the tempo, we scored 1 goal, and we could have been calmer in the finish. In general, the first two goals cost us the match. We were the ones who could have scored, but when you lose a match, the responsibility is mine. We have to prepare for the next game. I want us to continue playing like this, but the goals that we receive, that is an entirely different issue – Bandović said.

He also reflected on the fact that this was Vojvodina’s fifth defeat in a row in all competitions.

  • We will talk individually and like a team. Aside from the match with Čukarički, the other games we played well, and we deserved a lot more. We didn’t win points, but we are encouraged by the way of playing, but in this moment we lack the result – Bandović highlighted.

He also confirmed that Vojvodina is searching for the attacker, since Aleksa Vukanović hurt his ligaments and is awaiting surgery.

  • Now, as you know that Aleksa Vukanović is facing a surgery, we need another attacker, and that is not easy at this moment, because a lot of players have already found clubs. We have to realize the chances, we scored, but those were offsides. When there are no results, simply, everything falls through. But yes, we are looking and searching for an attacker – Bandović pinpointed.

The coach of Vojvodina still believes that this is the right path on which his team should continue playing, and he is not planning to change his game style.

  • Certainly, everyone is expecting us to play better in the defence and to remain in Europe. MY vision is that if I don’t have a game, I cannot hope for anything. If I have the game, I have something to hope for in the future. That is what I was talking about when I arrived to the club, and when we had a few bad results. We will give our maximum to win against Maribor, and to secure placement into the next round – Bandović said.

On Thursday, Vojvodina is playing against Maribor at the same stadium, in the rematch of the third qualifying round for the Conference league, and then next Sunday they are playing against Radnički 1923.
