The coach of Vojvodina FC, Radoslav Batak, congratulated Partizan on the deserving win.
The players of the old lady lost tonight at Karađorđe, from Partizan with the score 0:2, and Batak believes that the difficult schedule at the start of the season had an impact on his team.
- A well-deserved victory of Partizan, we seemed immature, especially in the part of the match when we had the ball, because we used up too many balls with no finishing pass – Batak said.
He pointed out that the defeats at the beginning of the season are not easy, but that Vojvodina will not give up their goals.
- Of course, the defeats hurt, after APOEL, Red Star, and the rematch with APOEL, came Partizan, the schedule could not have been any harder. We have to reanalyze what the problems are, what we can improve to become better. This season we placed an accent on young players, today Bukinac was again a part of the lineup, played excellently like against the Red Star, but unfortunately that early yellow card when he had Severina in front of him, made us make that substitution. Even though the accent is on young players, Vojvodina demands results and high ranking, and compared to the last season, we want to take it step further. We played the first two rounds against the Red Star and Partizan, which is in itself hard enough. Vojvodina achieved that high position last season on those so-called ’’minor’’ games. I think we have to make it a routine this year, that Vojvodina in 90% of games takes all six point against the teams they have to win, both at home and away – Batak highlighted.
The coach of Vojvodina stated that there are reasons to be optimistic, especially if you take into account that the key players were hurt at the start of the season.
- Of course we believe in this team, and we can’t forget that we had a weakened lineup at the start of the season, since Malbašić has just returned, Bolingi arrived just 7 days ago, Kajević is still hurt, he didn’t play at any of the games so far. When we are all healthy and together, we believe that we will be much better. We also have Uroš Nikolić, Kajević, and the young Lazar Jovanović. Nikolć passed the whole preparations after five years, everyone knows he has issues with both his knees, and that he needs time to find the last year’s shape. In a nutshell, after the first game on Cyprus, Čumić was ill for three days, Vukić returned from injury, Bolingi was not registered…Players who were available at the moment played. Yet, I see a positive period ahead of us, I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t optimistic – Radoslav Batak concluded.
