Vojvodina is playing the first friendly match today as part of the main part of the preparations for the new season. At 5:30 p.m., the rival of the red and whites will be Otelul from Galati, who won third place in the second league of Romania last season, so they will play in the highest level of the competition in this country in the upcoming season. The match will be played in the Austrian town of Lebring, about 50 kilometers from Mariborsko Pohorje.
Otelul Galati was founded in 1964 and in its history so far has managed to win one championship title (2011) and one Romanian Supercup (2012). As for European successes, Otelul won the Inter-Toto Cup in 2007, while in the 2011/12 season it participated in the group stage of the Champions League. The colors of the club are red, blue and white, and Otelul plays as the host at the stadium of the same name with a capacity of 13,500 seats.
The Manager of this team is the 55-year-old Romanian Dorinel Munteanu, who has a squad at his disposal whose value is estimated at 4.32 million euros. Apart from the Romanian players, the Otelul team consists of two footballers each from Portugal and Bulgaria and one each from Uruguay, Burkina Faso, Croatia, Italy and Argentina.
