In the 21st round of the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia, Vojvodina will welcome Kolubara on Saturday at 4 PM at Karađorđe, and coach Milan Rastavac believes in a good game and a victory for his team.

After the draw with Red Star in the first match of the spring part of the season, in the premiere at Karađorđe, Vojvodina welcomes Kolubara, and coach Rastavac expects a strong defensive block from tomorrow’s rival.

– We are looking forward to playing in front of our audience again after a long period. For us, this represents an obligation to present ourselves in a good and quality light and to achieve victory. We have neither the space nor the desire for any kind of calculation. We want to play good football, impose ourselves to attack Kolubara and win three points. Kolubara knows how to defend, they have a quality block from the 5-3-2 system and they come out of it in good counters and we have to take care of every aspect of the game, if we want to reach a triumph. We believe that with a good game and the support of the fans, we can emerge as winners from this match – said Milan Rastavac.

He believes that the draw and the game against Red Star on Saturday do not have to have any importance and that this will be a completely different game.

– First, we need to stand firmly on the ground, because all that we did well against Red Star, will not be so much in the foreground now. In this game, we need a completely different football repertoire to win. We worked on it this week, preparing the players to prepare for everything in the best possible way for what lies ahead. Concentration and focus must be at their maximum, because we have entered the championship period when all mistakes are paid dearly. However, when the team has support behind it and works well, then all that helps to keep the focus at its maximum. That’s why we have no choice for calculations – emphasized Rastavac.

The Manager of the Old Lady believes that the transfer window for Vojvodina is over.

– It is most likely that the transfer window is over, as we said, we will react in case some of the players leave or if some favorable option for us appears on the market. I believe that this team, with hard work, can deliver everything we have planned – Rastavac points out.

Finally, he compared the form and quality of his team in relation to the autumn duel with Kolubara, which ended with a score of 2-2.

– We believe that we are one step higher than we were last fall, but aggravating circumstances could be the weather conditions, which will be a little more in Kolubara’s hands tomorrow, because they will stand low in their block and it will be more difficult to play the pass game. In general, we are close to reaching the level where this team provides its maximum. I believe that during the previous preparations, we used the maximum of everything that was necessary to take that step forward – Rastavac concluded, noting that he is happy to be able to count on all the players.

Otherwise, this match will also be an opportunity for Vojvodina and its fans to pay their last respects to the celebrated former representative of our country and member of the second champion generation of the Old Lady, Siniša Mihajlović.
