Vojvodina coach Milan Rastavac is not satisfied with the result in the draw with Mladost, but he has nothing to complain about his players.
Tonight, the Old Lady drew at Karađorđe with a score of 1-1 in the seventh round of the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia, and after the match, Rastavac congratulated his players on their fight and dedication and the game they showed.
– My general impression is that this is another game in which we didn’t get what we deserved. We can look for reasons for this on various sides, one part also refers to the refereeing criteria, because the game was often reduced to a one-on-one game and within that, the referee in those situations had an influence, you will judge whether it was on this or that side. We entered the game as we wanted, we showed what we wanted and that’s how we played. This is another match where the opposing goalkeeper was the best player of their team and I congratulate him on that. We were unlucky to score a goal in time, I believe that a goal or two in the opening part of the game would have turned the match in a completely different direction. All in all, I have to congratulate the players for what they endured today. We are not satisfied with the result, and yet we cannot be dissatisfied with what we showed, especially in the period of the game with ten men and in the finish when we went to score a goal and take all three points. We don’t have much time to rest, we have a new game waiting for us on Thursday and we are getting ready for the away game in Surdulica – said Rastavac.
He also commented on the key detail of the match, which is the exclusion of Veljko Simić.
– I didn’t have a chance to see the video, I can only say that it seemed to me from the field that there was no contact. That’s my impression from the bench, but I repeat, I haven’t seen the footage – Rastavac concluded.
