Former captain of Vojvodina, 30-year-old Nemanja Čović, traveled to China, where he signed a contract with the second division club Kunshan.
He will thus continue his career in this great Asian country, and last weekend he said goodbye to his now former teammates.
– Behind me and Voša are two and a half, almost three years and this period will always remain in my memory. I want to thank all my teammates, coaches, teams, because without them I would not have achieved anything. Thanks to the fans for everything, for their support, and I hope that everyone will rejoice in the success at the end of the season. I want Voša to win Europe this year as well and to always be at the top of Serbian football, where it belongs – said Čović.
He played a total of 80 games for Vojvodina, in which he scored 23 goals and four assists, and was an important part of the team that won the second Serbian Cup in the club’s history in 2020. By the fans from the site fkvojvodina.com, he was chosen as the best player of Vojvodina in the 2020/21 season, and the same recognition went to him from the Club of Friends of FK Vojvodina for the calendar year 2021.
The football club Vojvodina thanks its now former captain for everything he provided in a red and white jersey and wishes him good luck and success in the continuation of his career.
