In the 24th round of the Serbian Super League, Vojvodina will meet Radnik from Surdulica tomorrow.
After two victories in the first two rounds, the red and whites showed that they rightly have the ambition not only to win a new participation in the qualifications for the Conference League, but also to overtake Čukarički in third place on the table by the end of the season. To achieve that goal, a victory over Radnik in tomorrow’s match would certainly be important.
Voša and Radnik have met 11 times so far in their history, and Vojvodina has a much better score, as it managed to record eight wins, four draws and only one defeat, with a goal difference of 23-7. The last match between these two teams, played in the first part of the season in Surdulica, ended with the victory of the Old Lady with the result 0-2 (0-2), with goals by Veljko Simić in the 26th and Nebojša Bastajić in the 31st minute.
Radnik is currently on the 13th place on the table and by the end of the season it will have a great fight for survival, so every point is extremely important in order to preserve its Super League status. Several former players of Vojvodina play in this team, since the jersey of the team from Surdulica is worn by Vuk Mitošević, Nemanja Subotić, Siniša Babić and Darko Bjedov. Apart from them, the best scorer and member of the U-21 Serbian national team, Uroš Milovanović, who scored six goals in the Super League this season, should be pointed out in the Radnik team, as well as winger Borko Duronjić, who moved to Radnik from Radnički Niš this winter. Also, the Manager of Radnik, Dušan Đorđević, once worked in Vojvodina, since he was the assistant coach of the Old Lady at the time when Aleksandar Veselinović was the Manager of the red and whites.
On the other hand, it is known that the current Manager of Vojvodina Slavoljub Đorđević came to Voša before the beginning of this season from Radnik, with whom he made the best result in the history of that club last season, winning sixth place in the championship and placing in the semifinals of the National Cup. Together with him, central back Dušan Stevanović, who is playing as a standard player in the first team of the red and whites this season, also moved to Voša from Radnik last summer.
The match between Vojvodina and Radnik will be played on Saturday at 4 pm, and tickets for this match will be sold at prices of 300 (west), 200 (east) and 100 dinars (north). Tickets for the west will be sold at the main box office of the stadium (between the west and south stands), tickets for the east will be sold at the box office on the east stand (next to the restaurant Ognjište), while tickets for the north will be sold in the Vojvodina fan shop on the west tribune of Karađorđe. The box office will be open on match day, one hour before the kick-off.
Also, the match will be broadcast live on the Arena premium 1 TV channel.
