After a two-month break, the competition in the Serbian Super League continued this weekend. The players of Vojvodina will go out on the field on Monday, when, in the 22nd round, they will meet Napredak from Kruševac at Karađorđe.
Vojvodina finished the first part of the season in fourth place, which guarantees a place in the qualifications for the Conference League next season, which is the primary competitive goal of the Old Lady this year as well. However, as is rare in the recent past, the fight for places leading to the international scene will be extremely interesting, considering that, for example, the difference in the table between fourth-placed Vojvodina and 10-placed TSC is only four points.
Therefore, it is clear that every game and every point will be of great importance, and Voša is expecting a match already in the first spring round against the closest companion on the table, considering that Napredak, with the same number of points as Vojvodina, is on fifth place. The fact that in the first part of the season Napredak beat Vojvodina 2-0, with goals by Petar Kunić in the 12th minute and Dejan Kerkez in the 74th minute, proves that Voša does not expect an easy task against the team from Kruševac. Historically, Vojvodina has almost twice as good a score against Napredak, considering that it has achieved 32 victories, three draws and 16 defeats in 51 games, with a goal difference of 82-50.
At the beginning of this season, Napredak was led by the former coach of Vojvodina, Milan Đuričić, who had to resign from that position due to health problems, so this winter, Ivan Stefanović officially took over the function of the Manager. The best scorer of the Čarapani in this championship is the experienced midfielder Saša Marjanović, who shook the net five times last fall. Apart from him, the Napredak team includes, among others, two former players of Vojvodina, who also went through the Youth Academy Ilija Pantelić, namely Milan Spremo and Marko Bačanin. On the other hand, from the players of Vojvodina, the jersey of Napredak was previously worn by Miljan Vukadinović, who two years ago joined the squad of the Old Lady from Kruševac.
For this match, the Manager of Vojvodina, Slavoljub Đorđević, will not be able to count on Mihajlo Neškovic, due to the red card he received in the last round of the autumn part of the championship against Novi Pazar. Apart from him, all other players who were in the preparations in Turkey are ready to compete for the team.
Tickets for this match will be sold at prices of 300 (west), 200 (east) and 100 dinars (north). Tickets for the west will be sold at the main box office of the stadium (between the west and south stands), tickets for the east will be sold at the box office on the east stand (next to the restaurant Ognjište), while tickets for the north will be sold in the Vojvodina fan shop on the west stand of the stadium. The box office will be open on match day, one hour before the kick-off.
Considering that the match will be played on the International Valentine’s Day, the football club Vojvodina has decided that the entrance for couples to this match will be free, and they will not need to pick up tickets beforehand. The match starts at 3 pm, with a television broadcast on the Arena premium 1 channel.
