Vojvodina defeated Metalist 1925 with the result 3-2 in the third control match in the preparations in Turkey.
This is the second victory of the Old Lady in Belek, after Voša defeated Polish Slask in the last game. The scorers for Vojvodina were Čović in the 36th minute, Zukić in the 48th minute and Matić in the 71st minute.
The teams performed in the following lineups:
Vojvodina: Rockov (from 75th Puškić) – Lazarević (from 75th Jelenković), Jeličić, Devetak, Đorđević (from 61st Kopitović) – Busnić (from 75th Miletić), Topić – Nešković (from 46th Matić), Čović (from 46th Zukić), Simić (from 60th Bastajić) – Vukčević (from 71st Novevski).
Metalist 1925: Shelikov, Kapinus, Kovalenko, Potimkov, Durueke, Eradzhi, Batushin, Kravchenko, De Almeira, Zaderaka, Ostrovsky.
After a slight initial pressure from Metalist, the Vojvodina players quickly managed to shift the focus to half of the rival, and the first excitement in front of the Ukrainian team’s goal was in the 17th minute when the referee did not let the advantage and possibility of Veljko Simić go out towards the goal. In the 26th minute, Vojvodina performed the best action from the beginning – after Lazarević’s return ball, Busnić shot directly at the Metalist goalkeeper.
Metalist threatened more seriously for the first time in the 28th minute, when Fabino hit the outer part of the net from around 15 meters.
With the action in the 30th minute, the players of Vojvodina elicited applause from the audience, after several exchanges of passes in which four players of the Old Lad participated, only a better cross by Đorđević was missing, so it remained 0-0.
In the 36th minute, Vojvodina performed a new good action. Again Lazarević centered from the right flank and Vukčević shot with his head from around 10 meters, but the ball went next to the goalpost.
Four minutes later, Voša deservedly took the lead. The great Lazarević broke through on the right flank and returned the ball to Simić, whose shot was defended by the Metalist goalkeeper, but the captain of the Old Lady Nemanja Čović ran onto the ball and hit the corner for 1-0.
As soon as the second half started, Vojvodina scored the second goal. Matić took the ball away and gave it to Zukić, who scored an empty goal for 2-0.
Metalist fought back in the 51st minute, when Potimkov scored an effective goal from 16 meters. Only 10 minutes later, Metalist equalized, as Kravchenko scored from the penalty spot, since the referee assessed one duel, ie rempling, as the most severe punishment and thus caused dissatisfaction on the bench of Vojvodina.
Ten minutes later, a more obvious penalty on the other side followed, when Bastajić shot, and one Metalist defender blocked his attempt with his hand. Matić was accurate from 11 meters.
There was no change until the end, and Voša managed to keep the advantage and deservedly record the second triumph.
The Old Lady will play the last control match on Thursday at 3 pm against Slavia.
