After yesterday’s friendly match against Mura, in which they played a draw 1-1 (1-0) against the current champion of Slovenia, the players of Vojvodina ran to the field near the hotel Arena on Mariborsko Pohorje again this morning.
At today’s morning training, the players worked divided into two groups. With one group of players, made up of those who played in yesterday’s game against Mura, worked the fitness coach Saša Semeredi, according to whose instructions the players did exercises for the regeneration of the body and organism.
On the other hand, players who did not play against Mura yesterday, along with Momčilo Mrkaić, Uroš Kabić and newcomer Nebojša Bastajić, worked with the Manager Slavoljub Đorđević, assistant coaches Predrag Ranđelović and Aleksandar Radunović and fitness coach Aleksandar Janković. They first did exercises for perfecting and improving football technique, and then they practiced both offensive and defensive tasks in “one on one”, “two on two” and “three on three” situations.
Due to the injury, central back Dušan Stevanović missed today’s training, since he suffered a minor ankle injury during the warm-up before yesterday’s match against Mura, but still played the first 45 minutes of that match. However, in order not to risk worsening the injury, he is currently excluded from the training process, and it should be known soon when he will be able to return to the field. The coaching staff of FK Vojvodina believes and hopes that it will be very soon, considering that this is a player who should represent an important part of the defense of the red and whites in the next season.
Also, due to the elevated temperature, the young striker Vukašin Bogdanović missed today’s training, with the proviso that he will probably train together with the other teammates tomorrow.
Together with Nebojša Bastajić, the President of the Assembly of FK Vojvodina, Milan N. Đukić and member of the club scouting service Mićo Vranješ arrived in Slovenia yesterday. They provided support to the red and whites in yesterday’s match against Mura and will be with the team today, since they will return to Serbia tomorrow morning.
By the decision of the Manager, Slavoljub Đorđević, the players of Vojvodina will not train this afternoon, but will use the time for rest. The Red and Whites will stay on Mariborsko Pohorje until Saturday, when they will play the last friendly match in the preparations against Gorica, and the return to Novi Sad will follow immediately after that match.
