After the match against Inđija, the coach of Vojvodina, Nenad Lalatović, pointed out that he is satisfied with the game and the victory of his team.

Vojvodina deservedly celebrated with the result 2-1, with goals by Aranđel Stojković and Veljko Simić, and thus registered its 17th triumph this season.

– I would like to congratulate both teams on a great game. I wholeheartedly want Inđija to survive in the league, my colleague does a great job, I follow their matches and I know that they were unlucky in certain matches. We put high pressure and from that pressure we took away two balls and scored two goals. We had another good chance in the 45th minute when Gemović was able to solve the match. Inđija played very well in the second half and deservedly scored a goal. Luckily for us, they did it 30 seconds before the end, so there was no time for another one. In the second half, we decided to play on half-counters and counters and I can be satisfied with the game shown, we were better for that one goal – said Lalatović, who adds that the break is coming at the right time.

– Now we are going on a well-deserved vacation, we have qualified for the semifinals of the Serbian Cup, we have remained in our third position and we have achieved everything we have planned so far. My players will get free until Thursday, we had several injuries, today we missed three, four standard first team players, which was felt at some point. That is why we want to recover and prepare for everything that awaits us in the continuation of the season – Lalatović pointed out.

Asked whether Vojvodina could win a maximum of 15 points in the next five matches against conditionally speaking “weaker teams”, Lalatović said:

– Everything is possible in football, but it is the most difficult to play against teams that are fighting for survival, against guys who are fighting for a “bare life”. Those teams are fighting to the very end, they want to show their quality and not drop out of the league. It will not be easy for us to win all 15 points. We go from game to game, we will give our maximum on each, but first I want to rest – concluded Nenad Lalatović.

In the next round, in two weeks, Vojvodina will again play on its Karađorđe, and its opponent will be Novi Pazar.
