Vojvodina has defeated Inđija with the result 2-1 (2-0) in the 28th round of the Serbian Super League.
The scorers for Vojvodina were Aranđel Stojković in the 17th minute and Veljko Simić in the 19th minute, while the only goal for Inđija was scored by Bastajić in the 90th minute.
The teams started the match in the following lineups:
Vojvodina: Vukliš – Andrić, Bralić, Maksimović, Devetak – Drinčić, Stojković (from 63rd Kovačević) – Zukić, Bojić, Gemović (from 63rd Mrkaić) – Simić.
Inđija: Jovičić – Cucin, Hrubik, Pantelić, Đurić, Škorić, Bastajić, Aleksić, Krneta, Đorđević, Bakić.
From the first minute, Nenad Lalatović’s team made it clear that today they only want to win. The home team started offensively and after only thirty seconds, they came into the opponent’s penalty area for the first time, but there was no better final pass for a more serious opportunity.
In the 17th minute, the Old Lady deservedly took the lead, with a goal by Aranđel Stojković from the penalty spot. Previously, Gemović was knocked down on the edge of the penalty area, and the referee assessed that it was a violation for the most severe punishment.
Only two minutes later, Veljko Simić used the gift, that is, the bad reaction of the defense of Inđija, he cut Hrubik’s weak back pass, overfished his guard and routinely scored for 2-0.
After the second goal, Vojvodina was able to slow down, while the guests went on the offensive and finally managed to play in the half of the home team.
Inđija threatened for the first time at the end of half an hour of the game, when after a break and a header, the crossbar saved goalkeeper Goran Vukliš. And three minutes later, the guests threatened, this time Bastajić shot nicely from a free kick from 25 meters, but the ball went past the post.
The pressure of the guests lasted only a few minutes, and then Vojvodina took control again in the middle of the pitch and in the 41st minute almost scored the third goal. After a cross from the right flank, Gemović unhinderedly accepted the ball on the other goalpost, but he shot next to the goalpost.
This was not the last opportunity for the home team, as they missed another great chance in the last moments of the first part. Goalkeeper Jovičić left his goal, he did not shoot the ball well, Zukić and Bojić combined, but there was no more precise shot towards the goal.
Unlike the first half, the second was much slower and without so many opportunities. At the very beginning, Voša had a chance after Simić’s breakthrough, but his return pass was blocked by the defender of Inđija.
In the 63rd minute, Nenad Lalatović made a double substitution, Kovačević and Mrkaić entered the game, and Stojković and Gemović left the pitch.
There was not much excitement until the 78th minute, when the guests had the best chance in the match, after a coordinated action from the break, Dimitrov was left alone, but Vukliš easily stopped his shot from ten meters.
In the last moments of the match, Inđija managed to reduce the score from the penalty spot. Kovačević played with his hand in the penalty area, the referee pointed to the white dot, and Bastajić was precise.
Until the end, there were no opportunities or more excitement, so the Old Lady deservedly registered her 17th triumph this season.
