The coach of Vojvodina FC, Božidar Bandović is optimistic before the new duel with the team of TSC.

After winning against the team from Bačka Topola on Sunday, the players of the Old Lady are meeting the same team six days later, in Topola in the 31st round of Mozzart Bet Superleague of Serbia.

  • I would first like to say something about the regular part of the season, me as a coach, as well as the club and the fans can be pleased with the performance and results. We are facing play-off, immediately going against the team of TSC. We know that they are a good and organized team, as we already saw on Sunday at that first match. In some details of the game we have to be tactically better, especially in the defence, if we take a look at the first half. We analyzed the opponent, almost everyone is ready aside from Guram and Bjeković, and Uroš Nikolić has some knee issues. Aleksa still has problems with his heel, we will see what will happen today and tomorrow – Bandović said.

He also reflected on the fact that his team has less time to rest, because they are still playing in the Cup of Serbia.

  • It is certainly harder for us, because even this last match showed that we lack some freshness. We are aware of it, but we are preparing, and we will see at the last training session how the players feel, and will make a decision about the rotations. There are no excuses, and we don’t have other choices aside from recovering the best that we can. We believe that we can handle everything, which we showed in all the previous matches – Bandović highlighted.

The coach of Voša pointed out that he wouldn’t change the approach to the game, especially after analyzing the previous duel with TSC.

  • Our approach is always the same, and that is to give our all, for each of us to give their maximum at every match until the finish. Focus and tactics in the defence fell at one point of the previous game, and that is how we received the goal, and we know we have to be better there, in the defence. Our style remains intact, which we have shown many times before – Bandović highlighted.

In the end, Bandović underlined that he is not pressured by the tradition, which was not on the side of Vojvodina so far, and again this season Voša won against TSC twice.

  • For me the most important are the results at the end of the season. Records are marked, traditions remembered, but I don’t think they are a basis for the success at the end of the season. We can lose against TSC, I hope we won’t, and still be successful in the end. The atmosphere is great, we are going match by match, and that is what matters most to me – Bandović concluded.
