The coach of Vojvodina, Radoslav Batak, is satisfied after his team’s victory over Čukarički.
In the derby of the 26th round of the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia, the Old Lady beat their direct rival in the battle for Europe at Karađorđe with goals by Zukić, Uroš Nikolić and Lazarević.
– This was a dynamic match between two quality teams. We had 2-0, then a few more chances. In the second half, we fell a little, we relaxed, a little insecurity came in after the conceded goals, but we showed character and won. We have a long way to go, we still have a lot of work to do and there is still work to be done in all aspects of the game. I congratulate the boys for showing their character, and we will see in the end what we deserved and how many points we will win, I hope it will be enough for Europe – said Batak.
Vitas and Čumić ended the match with injuries, and Batak hopes that it is nothing more serious.
– With Vitas, the receiver is in question, the extent of the injury will be known only tomorrow. He’s been in trouble before, I hope he won’t be away from the field for a long time. Čumić felt pain in the back box, he gave more than 100% today, and on this kind of terrain, something like that is expected. Stefan Đorđević received an awkward blow in training and that’s why he was not in the protocol – revealed Batak.
He admitted that the players were pleased with the victory and that it was felt in the dressing room after the game.
– It meant a lot to them, because when you lead 2-0, then it’s 2-2 and in the end you win again, then you feel some relief. But already tomorrow we are turning to the new game – said Batak.
