The coach of Vojvodina, Radoslav Batak, expects another difficult game against the traditionally unpleasant rival – Voždovac.
On Sunday at 6 PM, the Old Lady will try to win its second game, after it defeated Radnički in Niš with a convincing score of 4-1 in the last round on the debut of Radoslav Batak.
– Short and simple, the expectation is to show that we have learned from some previous games. As someone who watched the matches from the sidelines, I want us to be as direct as possible and as dangerous as possible for the opponent’s goal. Voždovac is ranked better in the table than our last opponent and we have to understand that we are just at the beginning, but we have to repeat all the good things, and reduce the bad things to a minimum and use the space for improvement that we have both in the defense phase and in attack phase. We are ready, eager, but also aware of the importance of this and every game to reach the top – said Batak.
Coach of Voša points out that Voždovac is always an unpleasant rival and that he will not underestimate them.
– It would be presumptuous if Voždovac did not interest us as an opponent, because there are few teams that have taken points at “the roof”. It is a team that is well-educated, energetic and young and has a special field. They have well-known names in the team from Belgrade teams, but also from our school, because there are Pantović, Nešković… so, as always, my teams must not enter the match by underestimating the opponent – said Batak.
He underlined once again that he was happy with the approach from the previous game and that he was happy that there was no euphoria in the team after one victory.
– Approach to Niš was something we expected and talk about every day, so that we know the importance of character. Every time we do our best, a positive result is a consequence of it all. I am here for not letting anyone to think that something is easier or more relieved now. I am glad that there was no excessive euphoria after the game in Niš, it means that everyone is aware that we have the quality to achieve even better results and that in most cases it depends exclusively on us – says Batak.
He replied that the conceded goal at the end of the match in Niš was an important reminder and lesson for the following matches.
– We can say that it was luck in the misfortune that we conceded a goal, because it obliges us not to repeat it. Such conditions and circumstances do not allow a drop in concentration and the only good thing is that this is a lesson for some other matches when we are unlucky in the end, not to allow that indiscipline and relaxation, even though it was 4-0 at that moment – concluded Batak .
The good news is that Uroš Kabić is returning to the team, as well as that Nemanja Nikolić has recovered from a minor injury sustained in Niš, so only the suspended Uroš Vitas is out.
– Nemanja Nikolić received a cut in an inconvenient place where he operated on a tendon, but he successfully returned thanks to our doctor Vukosav and returned to his regular duties. Kabić did the first training, and we will see today how much he is able to give. The only thing we won’t be able to count on is Vitas because of the yellow cards and he is the only one who will not compete for this game – confirmed Batak.
