In the press room of the Karađorđe stadium, the regular election session of the Assembly of the Association of Veterans of FK Vojvodina was held today.
After adopting the report on the work of the Association and the financial report for the period from 2018 to 2022, the members of the Assembly elected Miladin Purać, the former goalkeeper of the Old Lady, as the new president of the Association of Veterans of FK Vojvodina.
Addressing the audience, he thanked for the trust and election as the new first man of the Association of Veterans.
– Six years of existence and work of the Association are behind us, and ahead of us is the obligation to be as successful in the future work as in the period when Vasa Pušibrk was the president. I have been in our Voša in various ways, from a pioneer to the Veterans Association – Purać emphasized.
The members of the Assembly also unanimously adopted the proposal that Cvijan Savković be re-elected to the position of secretary of the Veterans Association, and that in addition to the new president, Đorđe Vujkov, Vasa Pušibrk, Slobodan Jovanović and Mićo Vranješ should also be in the new convocation of the Board of Directors.
Also, the members of the Assembly elected Laslo Lerinc as the new president of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Veterans, and besides him, Svetozar Gatarić and Milan Grujić will also be members of this body. At the same time, Milan Belić was elected as the new president of the Assembly of Veterans’ Association of FK Vojvodina.
Presenting the work plan of the Association of Veterans for the next four years, the newly elected president Milan Purać emphasized that there is a lot that this association can and should do.
– First of all, we should continue with the existing activities of humanitarian work, and by that I mean financial, legal and material assistance to medically and socially vulnerable veterans, while we should help families of deceased former players and members of the Veterans Section during funerals. Also, the plan is to create a register of all former players of Vojvodina who live in Novi Sad and its surroundings, and to establish contacts with former players who have remained living abroad, including those who are still active players. We also intend to mark important events and dates from the history of our club, as well as to launch an initiative to establish a mini-league of veterans on the territory of AP Vojvodina. At the same time, the plan is to promote the Section through the playing of friendly matches throughout Vojvodina and beyond, then the establishment of the FK Vojvodina museum and the collection of museum materials, establishing contact with the Archives of the City of Novi Sad and the Archives of Vojvodina, organizing meetings and spending time with the families of deceased veterans, making advertising material and the publication of a mini-monograph on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of FK Vojvodina – Purać pointed out.
Towards the end of the session, the members of the Assembly unanimously adopted the proposal that the current president of the Association of Veterans, Vasa Pušibrk, should be declared the lifetime honorary president of the Association.
