The coach of Vojvodina, Slavoljub Đorđević, is satisfied with the performance of his team in the draw with the Slovenian champion Mura.
After the victory over Slask, the defeat from Maribor, it was the turn of the first draw, against an extremely difficult rival.
– I can be satisfied with the second half, it was weak at first. Maybe there was some fear among the players, which is unthinkable for me, although they lost 5-1 to Mura last time. In the second half, we came out differently, in the moments we were a better team, we scored a goal and if we had been a little more sober in the counter-attacks, maybe we could have given another one. Mura was better, had more chances, but I think we deservedly drew – said Đorđević.
This was a general rehearsal for Mura before the start of the qualifications for the Champions League, which especially gives optimism to the coach of the Old Lady.
– The first setup in defense played against Slask today, I had to rotate against Maribor, and that was felt on the field. Not only the defense should be praised, but the whole team, because the defense starts with the attack, as well as the attack from the defense. Everyone played hard, especially if we take into account that for Mura this was the general rehearsal for the qualifications for the Champions League. They are fresher, faster, train longer and it is normal that they are physically better than us. The boys got well after the game with Maribor and after the weaker first half today – Đorđević points out.
After a two-week break due to injury, newcomer Aleksandar Busnić scored the first minutes today.
– This is his first game, it is difficult for him to play such a difficult game after an injury. He lacks training with the ball, the previous two weeks he worked separately and only two trainings with us. He showed quality, we need to raise him even more in the next two games. We had bad luck with injuries, Stevanović in the warm-up, before that Đorđević and Vukadinović, but maybe it is better for those things to happen now than when the championship starts – Đorđević pointed out.
Coach of Voša believes that the team will rise and believes that it will rise both physically and tactically until the beginning of the championship.
– Last week was difficult for us, the players are tired, because we have to train hard and play games like this along the way. We have risen physically, we have a problem in player rotation, but these guys give their best. We will try to bring another reinforcement in the defense, maybe another attacker, and then with these guys, we can achieve success – coach of Voša points out.
Immediately before this match, newcomer Nebojša Bastajić joined the team in the preparations, and Đorđević believes that Voša solved several positions in the attack with him.
– We need fast players, he is very awkward, he plays all three positions in the attack and we will certainly get a lot with him. He plays fast, in depth, and he can get on the ball and I think we solved a lot with him. We have a bigger problem in the back line, left back, right central back, central forward etc., but I think we will solve it all by the first week of competition and the beginning of the championship – Đorđević concluded.
