The action under the slogan “You are our first love”, in which FK Vojvodina visits primary schools in Novi Sad and the surrounding area with an educational and entertainment program, continued today with a visit to Elementary School Žarko Zrenjanin in Liman, where with the students of this school socialized Voša’s first team members Marko Bjeković, who is also a former student of this school, as well as Igor Jeličić, Jovan Milošević and Nemanja Ljubisavljević.
It’s no secret that Voša’s visits to schools often end later than planned, for the simple reason that when it’s time for pictures and autographs, the little ones literally surround the Old Lady players in order to get a valuable souvenir, and of course, the players themselves want everyone to meet and do not allow anyone to be deprived of a precious moment of joy.
However, this time, the official part of the visit of FK Vojvodina was a little late already at the start, and the reason was the same. Literally the second the Vojvodina players entered the school, children surrounded them with the desire to meet them, hug them, take pictures with them or get their autographs.
In addition, although the visit to Elementary School Žarko Zrenjanin was organized in the middle shift, i.e. in the period when some of the students need to go home, and the others have not yet started classes, the number of children who stayed or came to school earlier was truly commendable. This especially applies to the educational part, which has been the most visited since the action was launched.
Addressing the students, Igor Jeličić said at one point that he hoped most of them were cheering for Vojvodina, after which someone shouted “Of course!”, which was followed by a big applause and exclamation from everyone. After all, how much the children from this school are devoted to the club from their town was evident from the numerous jerseys and t-shirts with FK Vojvodina motifs, as well as the frequent chanting of “Voša, Voša” while a football game was going on in the school yard in which they were together students and Voša’s first team members participated. Also, tickets for the game against Čukarički, posters, flyers and Voša’s class schedules were distributed in record time.
As a memory of this day, the club presented the school with three FK Vojvodina branded footballs, although, as every time Voša comes to visit, one of the teachers commented: “The children will never forget this day!”
