Vojvodina’s offensive player Miljan Vukadinović believes that his team has something to regret after the elimination from the Serbian Cup.
The Old Lady was defeated in the semifinals, as Partizan celebrated with the result 1-0 and this year left Vojvodina without a final.
– We are very sorry that we did not manage to win and qualify for the new final. We partially failed in the first half, we were asleep, but we entered the second half much more decisively and we were obviously better. We had a plan to change the course of the game, we forced Partizan to defend and play mostly in their own half – Vukadinović points out and adds:
– The match was not as interesting to watch as many might have wished, the stakes were huge. I think there were too many of some unnecessary interruptions and splitting of the game, which certainly suited our rival better. After the goal, Partizan played exclusively on the result, unfortunately, they managed to keep the advantage on experience – said Vukadinović.
Despite the elimination from the Serbian Cup, Vukadinović points out that the Old Lady has something to play for and fight for until the end of the season.
– I don’t want to say that we will give up or that we will be in a bad mood, we are sad, but we will find a motive to win every game until the end. We will be under pressure until the last round, because we do not want to miss the third place we have been in since the start of the season. We don’t want to fall to our knees now and that it turns out that we are just playing matches. At the next training, we will analyze in detail the defeat by Partizan, we must be open and recognize and correct our mistakes. Metalac will not be an easy rival, they want to play football and attack. However, we also want three points, because nothing is over, Čukarički will not give up until the last round – concluded Miljan Vukadinović.
