Players of Vojvodina FC defeated Mladost from Lučani at Karađorđe stadium, with the result 3:1 in the 1st match of the play-offs of Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia.
Scorers for Vojvodina were Seid Korać in the 20th, Yusuf Bamidele in the 25th and Njegoš Petrović in the 84th minute.
Thanks to this triumph, Vojvodina reaches their 45th point, and is now in the equal position with Radnički 1923, they share the 4th place on the table.
Teams performed in the following lineups:
Vojvodina: Rosić, Crnomarković, Bukinac, Korać (from 92nd Tanjga), L. Nikolić, Medojević (from the 72nd Veličković), Savićević (from the 72nd Mladenović), Petrović, Kokanović, Dele (from the 90th Vukanović), Romanić (from the 90th Depu).
Mladost: Stamenković, Ćirković, Joksimović (from 46th Udovičić), Divac, Andrić, Ćirić (from 46th Bojić), Bondžulić, Tumbasević, Pejović, Žunić (from 46th Varjačić), Ortiz (from 63rd Ljubomirac).
Already after two minutes of the match, Vojvodina had their first chance, when Lazar Nikolić broke through on the right flank, but Saša Stamenković pushed the ball far away. Mladost threatened for the first time in the 8th minute through Dilan Ortiz, whose kick was not dangerous enough for Dragan Rosić. Vojvodina had the initiative, but not bigger chances, and in the 17th minute Njegoš Petrović attempted his shot which went too far away from the rival’s net. That looked like an intro to the event that followed three minutes later.
After an unpleasant free kick by Petrović, Stamenković pushed the ball directly onto the foot of Seid Korać who scored. The home team didn’t stop there. The ball went well after a long action in the 25th and after a pass by Slobodan Medojević, so Yusuf Bamidele shook the net of Stamenković with a bit of luck.
We waited for the next big chance until the 43rd minute when Vukan Savićević caught the ball while falling on the second goal post, after a center shot on the left side, but he sent it next to the goal.
From the 54th minute Mladost was left without a player, since the stopper of Lučani, Miloš Divac, pulled Lazar Romanić from the back, who would have otherwise had an open road to the goal. The defence player of Mladost earned a second yellow card, so Vojvodina aside from the secure result had an advantage in number. From the free kick which preceded the offense, Njegoš Petrović shot strongly into Stamenković, who pushed the ball. Vojvodina was missing just a little bit to crown the excellent and dominant game with a third goal, but in the 70th minute after a slalom by Bamidele and a returning ball, Kokanović was imprecise.
In the following attack, the guest team lessened the goal difference after a corner by Pejović, and the goal by Janko Tumbasević, who didn’t celebrate it because he shook the net of the club where he played twice in his career. Miroslav Tanjga demanded more aggressiveness from his players, and he quickly received an answer when Lazar Romanić entered into a convenient situation, and secured a penalty for his team. Nikola Andrić’s arm was in the way after a shot by Voša’s attacker. Njegoš Petrović was precise from the white dot in the 84th minute, even though the goalkeeper Stamenković guessed the side of the shot.
Soon after, we saw an emotional moment when Aleksa Vukanović entered the game for the first time since the rematch with Ajax on August 1st in the qualifications for Europa League. There is no doubt that his return will be of great significance for Voša’s remaining fight for Europe, and also for the Serbian Cup.
In this way, Vojvodina recorded the exact same victory against Mladost as they did a week before in Lučani.
