In the 25th round of the Serbian Super League, Vojvodina will play against Kolubara in Lazarevac tomorrow.
After two introductory victories this spring, the red and whites interrupted the winning start in the last round against Radnik, when, with a player less during almost an hour of play, they were defeated at home with a minimum score of 0-1 (0-0). However, regardless of the loss of points in that match, Voša is still in the place leading to the qualifications for the Conference League next season, with unchanged ambitions to stay there, just as it has the ambition to return to the winning track by winning in Lazarevac.
Kolubara is currently in 10th place on the table with 29 points, seven less than the Old Lady has. This season, the team from Lazarevac has practically identical performance as Vojvodina, as they recorded a victory in the first two rounds at home against Voždovac and away against Novi Pazar, and in the previous round they were defeated at home by Metalac. Therefore, it is clear that they will also want to “cure” the failure against Metalac with a good result against Vojvodina, especially since they will have a great fight for survival by the end of the season.
The best scorer and probably the best player of Kolubara is the striker Uroš Đuranović, who scored 10 goals in the Serbian Super League this season. Besides him, there is also an experienced striker Dejan Đenić, and certainly important players of the team from Lazarevac are former players of Vojvodina: central back Nikola Vasiljević, midfielder Bogdan Mladenović and midfielder Petar Bojić, who came on loan to Kolubara from Romanian Sepsi this winter and he certainly represents a great reinforcement for this team. Besides them, there is also the left back Nenad Kočović, who passed the younger categories of Vojvodina, and arrived in Kolubara last summer from Kabel. The Manager of Kolubara is the experienced and well-known coach Dejan Đurđević.
Vojvodina and Kolubara have met only twice so far in their history. For the first time in the Round of 32 of the Serbian Cup in the 2015/16 season, when the match ended with a score of 0-0, and Voša went on only after taking penalties and great saves of the current goalkeeper coach of the Old Lady Srđan Žakula, and the second time in the first part of the current season, when Voša won in Novi Sad with the result 2-1 (1-0). The scorers for Voša in that match were Uroš Đuranović in the 14th minute (og) and Veljko Simić in the 52nd minute, while the goal for Kolubara was scored by Nemanja Andrić in the 91st minute.
Tomorrow’s match between Kolubara and Vojvodina starts at 6 pm, with a live broadcast on the Arena premium 1 TV channel.
