In the 22nd round of the Serbian Super League, Vojvodina will meet Voždovac at Karađorđe tomorrow. After an exciting match against Čukarički in the last round, the red and whites hope that they will achieve their first victory in this half-season against Voždovac, although they know that this goal is not easy to achieve.

This is confirmed by the words of the first team player of Vojvodina and the U-21 Serbian national team player, 20-year-old Mirko Topić, who has fully recovered from the injury and is competing for the lineup for tomorrow’s match.

– A difficult competitive match awaits us, like every one in our league. Voždovac is in the middle of the table, and in the previous two matches we managed to beat them, so we hope that this time it will be the same. They are one of the younger teams in our league and they are forcing football through possession, so I think they are a good environment for young players. We hope for a positive outcome and go for three points – says Topić.

Although he is only 20 years old, this is his third season in the first team of Vojvodina.

– I think I’ve made a lot of progress. From youth football, I immediately joined the first team of Vojvodina, that is, I did not go anywhere on loan. I think I have made special progress in the physical aspect. I had problems with injuries, which may have stopped my development a bit, but I am generally satisfied – Topić points out.

In the first two rounds of this half-season, Vojvodina achieved a draw and defeat, but that did not change the goals of the club.

– We hope that we will repeat the success from the previous season, that is, that we will, through the placement among the first four teams on the table, win a placement in Europe. We will also try to defend the Cup for the first time in history, which would be even more important – said Topić.

For the match against Voždovac, the Manager of Vojvodina, Nenad Lalatović, will not be able to count only on the slightly injured central back Đorđe Đurić, while everyone else is ready and competing for the lineup.

The match between Vojvodina and Voždovac will be played tomorrow at 4 pm at Karađorđe, with a live broadcast on Novi Sad Television.
