Today, the Football Club Vojvodina started distributing season tickets to health workers.
Today, the President of FK Vojvodina Dragoljub Samardžić and football player Dejan Zukić handed season tickets to the chief technician of the Center for Pathology and Histology of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, Stevo Malić, and the chief technician of the Center for Virology at the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina, Duško Pašić.
The president of FK Vojvodina, Dragoljub Samardžić, first spoke at the press conference, emphasizing the importance of today and thanking from the bottom of his heart all the health workers who took care of us during the pandemic.
– Today is a big day in Vojvodina, which we will write in golden letters, because the time has come to fulfill the promise we made a year ago. Today, we will start distributing 700 subscription season tickets to our medical workers, friends from our city, and we sincerely hope that they will also be our fans. As they encouraged us when it was the hardest for all of us, we expect to have their support, strength and their skill again on our east stand, where their new seats will be. Today is the day when we can all say one big “thank you” to all of them, who saved the lives of our loved ones in the most difficult times. They guarded us, were completely selfless, wore spacesuits, did not ask how long and when, and managed to defend us from one of the most dangerous diseases. On behalf of FK Vojvodina and on behalf of all clubs in Serbia, I say another big “thank you” from the bottom of my heart, for everything that has been done for us – said the president of FK Vojvodina, Dragoljub Samardžić.
The chief technician at the Center for Pathology and Histology at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, Stevo Malić, then addressed the audience. He thanked from the bottom of his heart for the generous gift of the Old Lady.
– I want to thank the management of FK Vojvodina for this generous gift. To all of us, medical workers, who have been confronted with all the positive covid patients from the beginning, this is a really big thing. Considering that most of us are from Novi Sad, FK Vojvodina has a special significance for us. We want the club to have a lot of success in the new season, to end up with the best possible placement on the table, and we especially want them to be successful in the qualifications, and we hope later in the group phase of the Conference League – said Stevo Malić.
In the end, FK Vojvodina also thanked the chief technician of the Center for Virology at the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina, Duško Pašić.
– FK Vojvodina recognized the work and commitment of medical workers during the pandemic and I thank you on behalf of all of us. I wish them good luck in the Serbian championship and in the continuation of the qualifications for European competitions – concluded Duško Pašić.
