Assistant coach of Vojvodina Goran Šaula praised his team after today’s draw with Akhmat.
The Old Lady drew today with the Russian team with a score of 1-1, and it seems that Voša could have turned things around at the end of the match when they missed three solid chances.
– We are satisfied with today’s edition. This was our second game in two days, yesterday one team played until the 75th minute, today those who trained yesterday got a chance and I think we can be satisfied. Today we played against a Russian Premier League team and the most important thing is that we played well, created chances and that no one got hurt, since this pitch was a bit worse than the previous ones. We could have easily won, but we will not worry about the results, the most important thing is that the boys train well, improve their form and become more and more fit – said assistant coach of Vojvodina Goran Šaula.
He especially emphasized the increasingly better defensive game, and announced that Voša will be a better team this spring than in the fall.
– Our goal for the beginning is not to concede goals, because then it is easier to win. When we do a good job defensively, and if we play like yesterday and today, then Vojvodina will certainly be a much better team in the second part of the season. There is space for improvement in all segments, but first let’s rest, let the legs be fresher after the effort, and then let’s face the duel with Red Star in the right shape – concluded Goran Šaula.
