Players of Vojvodina drew against the team of Napredak with the result 1:1 in the 21st round of Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia.
The scorer for Vojvodina was Dragan Kokanović in the 74th minute.
Teams performed in the following lineups:
Napredak: Peković, Krstić, Bukorac, Vukajlović, Bastajić, Đeković, Stojiljković (from 87th Karaklajić), Lazić, Petković (from 70th Jović), Šarić (from 87th Bubanj), Miletić.
Vojvodina: Gočmanac, Korać, Sichenje (from 66th Medojević), Crnomarković, Butean, Lucas Barros, Petrović (from 87th Savićević), Kokanović, U. Nikolić (from 55th Romanić), Sery, Bamidele.
The first half was marked by a big fight in the center of the pitch, with no prominent chances and bigger threats to the goal of either team. Napredak had their first attempt when Stojiljković head kicked the ball into the lower angle, but Gočmanac was in the right position.
Voša had difficulties reaching the last third of the pitch, and the only attempt towards the goal of Peković was by Kokanović, who after a corner on the left side picked up a returning ball, but shot over the bar.
In the 43rd minute Napredak took the lead with the goal by Đeković. Stojiljković performed a corner on the right side, and Đeković escaped the guards, and from the penalty area overpowered Gočmanac for 1:0.
Voša was more concrete at the start of the second half, and Sery had the first shot in the goal frame since the beginning of the match, in 49th minute he shot under the bar, but Peković defended the net, and pushed the ball into the corner.
Napredak continued to defend themselves very well, so the staff of Vojvodina FC decided that Romanić should enter the game and replace Uroš Nikolić, so that they could start a stronger offense.
The players continued to fight in the center of the pitch, and after an hour of the match, there was a conflict between the home bench and the referees, after which the head of staff of Napredak, Slavoljub Đorđević, received the red card.
In the 66th minute, Voša sent another shot into the goal frame, Petrović passed to Bamidele and he head kicked the ball right into the hands of the goalkeeper Peković.
In the 74th minute Voša managed to draw after a great action in which Romanić sent an excellent ball into the penalty area, and Kokanović was in the right place and scored from the first shot for 1:1!
Even though after the goal Voša played at the rival’s half, Napredak had their first chance in the second half. Bastajić escaped the defence on the left flank, approached the danger zone, and shot the outer part of the goal post.
In the 83rd minute Voša had an excellent chance, Medojević sent a great pass to the penalty area, but with the desire to reach the ball, Bamidele and Kokanović interrupted one another, and the goalkeeper Peković was victorious.
In the finish, the guest team played in front of the opponent’s net, and in the added time Savićević had one excellent attempt from the edge of the penalty area, but Peković saved the net. Until the end of the match, the players of Vojvodina FC failed to take the lead, so the Old Lady won only 1 point at the start of the second part of the season.
Next weekend, Vojvodina is welcoming the team of Partizan FC in the great derby of the 22nd round of Mozzart Bet Superleague of Serbia, on Saturday, February 8th at 6:30 pm.
