Vojvodina coach Milan Rastavac is satisfied after the first victory in the spring part of the season.
Today, in the first match of 2023, the Old Lady beat Kolubara 3-0 at Karađorđe stadium, with goals from Simić, Čumić and Malbašić.
– In the second half, we just came to our game, to be aggressive and fast as much as we want, and that is a good model for us in the future. I congratulate the players for what they have done. I am happy that in both the first and the second half we were focused and did not fall into any critical situations, which gives me clear signals that we are maturing as a team. I believe in our work and the time we spend together. I wish the guests luck in the continuation of the championship and thank the fans who came today to cheer us on from the beginning to the end of the game – said Rastavac.
He pointed out that he was glad that the team reacted at halftime and played much better.
– We moved the center of gravity forward and we agreed to accept that game with the rival on our backs and stick to our plan. We made small corrections and the most important thing is that after that the first goal was scored on time, because it brought us calmness and composure. Both models that we presented in the last and this round are ours. We have to adapt to the situation and in relation to who our opponent is. We want to be aggressive and to be even more aggressive in the rest of the season – concluded Milan Rastavac.
In the next round, Vojvodina will face Mladost in Lučani on Friday at 4 p.m.
