The coach of Vojvodina, Dragan Radojičić, thinks that the defeat by the Red Star was too high and he hopes that his team will fight until the end of the season, because there is nothing to lose.
The Old Lady lost today to the Red Star with the result 0-3, and Radojičić pointed out after the game that the free kicks were again fatal for his team this season.
– Congratulations to the Red Star on the deserved victory. I think we were competitive in the game, as much as we could against the best team in the country. But, when you conceded such a goal from the free kick in the second minute, which is Vojvodina’s 21st in that way this season, then everything was even harder. We practiced hundreds and hundreds of free kicks, worked on making us more dangerous from rivals in such situations, and then we received such a goal again, right at the beginning. With the second goal, we lost the ball in the middle, we left too much space and the attack of Red Star two on four, and the third goal should not be commented on. I accept all those bad things and turn to the next game. We will do everything to raise the guys, because they have quality. We had dangerous attempts on two occasions through Zukić, we could come back and make the match more uncertain. I think that the result is too high, but I do not want to diminish the deserved victory of the Red Star. We have to stay positive, immediately after the match I held a meeting with the team and told them that we must all die together to the end and play bravely and manly, because we have nothing to lose and we can gain a lot – said Radojičić.
After the match with Red Star, Vojvodina will play against Partizan in the next two games – first in the Super League, and then in the semifinals of the Serbian Cup.
