The Manager of Vojvodina, Dragan Radojičić, stated that he is very satisfied with the result of the match against Napredak at the start of the playoffs.

Today, Vojvodina beat Napredak 2-0 (0-0), in the 31st round of the Serbian Super League.

– I am very satisfied with the final result and the fact that our patience paid off, but also the suffering in the first half, because then Napredak looked better and more organized. They kept us away from the goal, which was not our goal at all. We made a change at half time and strengthened the game forward, and I told the players that, although we played the first half the way we played, at least we did not allow ourselves to be punished – says Radojičić.

According to him, in the other 45 minutes, Voša played much more in accordance with his ideas.

– I told the players to be patient and wait for the opportunity, because we can’t complain about an opponent who is doing so well in the field and who is of very high quality. They were also a little weakened, but we also missed Lazarević a lot today, although the guys who played instead of him did the job, Jeličić defensively, and Novevski offensively. We prepared that for three days – notes Radojičić.

Without a doubt, the best moment of the game happened in the 76th minute, when Maksimović brought the red and whites into the lead with a fantastic volley.

– Great goal by Maksimović, who was awarded for his attitude towards all players. He literally holds the locker room and he deserved to score one goal like this, which is rarely seen on our fields. I said earlier that I am not interested in how we score goals, but again, I must be glad that we scored such a Euro goal and that the fans left satisfied – says Radojičić.

In practically the last seconds of the game, Voša scored the second goal.

– It was an own goal, but we ran a good counter. After 1-0, the boys were very disciplined. We repulsed all attacks and I think we allowed Napredak to threaten us only after one corner kick. Rockov was staunch and confident on goal. Congratulations to the guys, they deserved it all. I wish all the best to Napredak in the continuation of the competition – said Radojičić.

In the next round, Voša will play against Voždovac in Belgrade, and that match will be played on Thursday, starting at 7:05 PM.
