Football fans around the world are looking forward to Saturday night, when Real Madrid and Liverpool will meet in the final of this season’s Champions League in Paris. There is no doubt that the viewership of this match will be exceptional in all parts of the world, and for football fans in Novi Sad and its surroundings, the City of Novi Sad and Heineken decided to organize a joint viewing of the match on Vujadin Boškov Plateau, just as it was for the return match of the semifinals between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Those who decided to watch the match in a larger company at the mentioned place, had the opportunity to see a small exhibition dedicated to the performances of FK Vojvodina in Europe, and the same will be the case on Saturday, when the final of the best European football competition is on the program.
Everyone who comes will be able to see rare, valuable and some very old exhibits that testify and preserve the memory of the European travels of the Old Lady. For example, in addition to photos from matches and data on matches, visitors will have the opportunity to see the trophy of the Central European Cup winner, which Vojvodina won in 1977, then the statue from 1955 that Vojvodina received from Roma on the occasion of a duel between the two clubs, also in the Central European Cup, and the trophy from 1982 from the De la Linea tournament, in which, in addition to Voša, Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Nottingham Forest also participated… From recent history, gifts which the Old Lady received as a memento of the duels against Atletico Madrid, Rapid Vienna, Sampdoria…
Of course, in addition to the exhibition, the organizers tried to provide visitors with other interesting content, and Voša invites everyone who is able to come to the Vujadin Boškov plateau tomorrow night, to use a really rare opportunity to see live exhibits that preserve the memory of Vojvodina’s history, and at the same time enjoy good company and football.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 9 pm, with the spectators being welcome to the event as early as 6 pm.
