Today, the coach of Vojvodina FC, Ranko Popović, and the club’s doctor Borko Vukosav, held the press conference before the match against Radnik from Surdulica.
The players of the old lady are playing against Radnik on Sunday, October 22nd in the 12th round of Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia. At the start of the conference, doctor Borko Vukosav shared good news about the health condition of Jonathan Bolingi.
- We saw each other 35 days ago when we were all worried because our Jonathan Bolingi was hospitalized at the Institute for Lung Diseases in Sremska kamenica, due to the serious health condition he was in. His life was in danger, and hours decided about his future. Now, I am here for the entirely different reason, a much better one, we are all in a good mood because his condition has stabilized, and he can continue the therapy at home. He was dismissed from the hospital yesterday, and now follows the rehabilitation. Knowing what a fighter on he is on the pitch, I believe he will succeed in this second half of his game with the support of his family and his closest friends, and all of us from the Club. His condition is good, stable, but he has a long way to full recovery – doctor Borko Vukosav said.
Not wanting to go into further details of his medical analysis, Vukosav confirmed that Bolingi was in a very difficult health condition, and that now he has a long way to full recovery.
- We don’t want to go into medical details, aside from the fact that he arrived in Novi Sad in a very difficult condition. He came into the institution with serious professionals, and thanks to them, he is alive. They showed not only professionalism, but also an unbelievable human side and kindness. Bolingi was admitted with the serious inflammation of both lungs, that caused a septic state and organ failure. The fight and therapy began, and in those moments every hour, and moment was important and the right steps needed to be taken. Luckily, the therapy was fruitful, but he really has a long way to full recovery, and his return to the field. We don’t have the information about what happened in Africa, but we know an infection caused his condition – Vukosav stated.
The coach of Vojvodina, Ranko Popović also thanked everyone who took care of Bolingi.
- I would like to thank our medical team, and all those people who helped him in the hospital and at the Institute for Lung Diseases, who did amazing things to help Boli recover, and be at home today, to have a normal life, and are also giving us hope that when his condition allows it, he will return to the pitch. I also visited him in the hospital, and in my head I can still see the look in his eyes when we entered the room. He shook my hand and said ’’coach, I will be back’’. Jokingly, I answered that tomorrow at 14h we were leaving for Novi Pazar, and that if he fails to show up, he would have to pay the fine. Bolingi has an amazing willpower, and we need his energy, but until he returns, we have other players at our disposal – Popović said.
The coach of Voša then complimented the team of Radnik FC.
– We are facing a disciplined opponent, a team that maybe has the best defense organized. We had two weeks at our disposal, to work and dedicate ourselves to preparing for this game, and I would be over the if we all see just a piece of what the players had been doing at their training sessions this week. I can share this with you with pleasure, and we will do our best that the whole stadium sees that on Sunday. The game, the attitude, the effort and dedication – everything is entirely opposite of the second half in Novi Pazar. I am eagerly waiting to see whether the team will repeat all that on Sunday at the match – Popović highlighted.
He once again reflected on the previous defeat in Novi Pazar, after which he obviously gave his players an important lesson.
– I don’t know where they received their education, and how they were educated in a football sense, and who taught them that 3 points at home and on the side are not the same, that the game can be so different. If you know how to play football, then you play it the way it should be played. I know those boys have a lot more potential, but they have to be ready to show it, and give it. I can’t drag it out of them, they have to be ready to give their best. This week, they truly did. I am an optimist, but also a realist, I am not euforic, but it was a pleasure watching them train. They realized some things, but we should transfer all that to the field, at the match. We have to recognize, and live with the fact that the jersey of Vojvodina carries a lot more weight than the jersey of some other club. The players must be aware of that, and we are here to help them. If I should motivate them, that ’’if’’ will still be there. Everyone who is in their right mind, and who was on the field in the second half in Novi Pazar, everyone who was present at the meeting afterwards, should have motivation enough to put on the jersey after that, and know what they should do – Popović pinpointed.
Another positive news is that staff issues no longer exist.
- Just this morning I said to the doctor that we owe our thanks to the medical team, because it is finally crowded on the pitch. For the first time we are not in a player deficit – Popović revealed.
Finally, the coach of Voša wanted to give an important message to the fans, and invite them to com to the game in large numbers.
– I would like to use this opportunity to publicly invite our fans to come in great numbers, because we really need them. Actually, we always need them, but we want them to come and make an atmosphere of support, we should show mutual support. I don’t do this normally, but I want us to do something on the field that will make them want to join us. I want them to come and show that we are together as one, that we can and that we wil make a new and better story for all of us – Ranko Popović concluded.
Tickets for the west stand will be sold at the ticket office of the stadium on matchday for 700 RSD, and tickets for the north will be sold for 300 RSD. As always, entrance to the eat stand will be free for all those who come wearing Voša’s labels. All those who buy a ticket for the west stand should save it, because at halftime we will randomly pick a ticket owner who will win the new vintage red and white jersey.
Also, who buys a ticket for the match against Radnik, will also receive a free ticket for the handball match of the second round of Group F of the European League between Vojvodina and Silkeborg, that is scheduled for October 24th at 20:45.
