In the 21st round of the Super League of Serbia, Vojvodina will welcome Kolubara on Saturday at 4 PM at Karađorđe, and this match will also have a humanitarian character.
Apart from the fact that this match will be an opportunity for Vojvodina and its fans to pay their last respects to the celebrated former representative of our country and a member of the second champion generation of the Old Lady Siniša Mihajlović, the match against Kolubara will simultaneously serve to collect as many funds as possible for the treatment of seven-year-old Miloš Ćelap from from Novi Sad, who suffers from leukemia.
In this regard, the football club Vojvodina has decided that all income from the sale of tickets for this match will be paid for his treatment, and boxes will be placed at the entrances to the stadium where all visitors will be able to leave a voluntary contribution. For this purpose, the money earned from the sale of the jerseys in which the Vojvodina players played against Red Star will also be paid. Part of the jerseys will be auctioned during this week, which the club will inform the public about at the same time, while some of the jerseys will be bought by sponsors and friends of the club and thus also help Miloš’s treatment.
In May 2021, Miloš Ćelap was admitted to the hospital in Novi Sad due to elevated temperature, thrombocytopenia and hepatosplenomegaly, when, after a bone marrow analysis, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After the induction phase of the treatment, the parents decided to continue the treatment at UDC Tiršov, where after the end of the treatment, after the bone marrow puncture, the remission of the disease was confirmed.
In March 2022, maintenance therapy was started, which was interrupted several times due to deterioration and during which a relapse was detected.
The continuation of the treatment is planned in Italy, with a bone marrow transplant.
Miloš attends the first grade of elementary school, he is a completely normal psychophysically developed child, an intelligent, curious child with developed empathy. He likes to play with his friends and to spend time in the countryside with his sisters. He likes basketball, he likes to stack legos, he likes to play games on his phone and watch cartoons, and he loves pandas.
