The goalkeeper of Vojvodina, Nikola Simić, points out that everything is going in the right direction at the start of preparations for the 2021/22 season.
The Old Lady has great ambitions in the new season as well, and Simić points out that the obligation is to place in Europe next season and that Voša will do everything to make the best possible results in the qualifications for the Conference League this summer as well.
– Expectations are always the same, the ambition must be a new placement in Europe, but we are going step by step. We have just started preparations, the system of work is different, but we already have the impression that we have been together for a long time, everything is going in the right direction – said Simić.
In addition to the change on the bench, which has now been taken over by Slavoljub Đorđević, Aleksandar Busnić and Dušan Stevanović also came.
– We like the system of work with the new coach, I think we will have a competitive team. The team has undergone certain changes, but we also know those younger players who are with us now, and there are no unknowns. The newcomers fit in quickly, they will be of great importance to us and I believe that we will be even better – Simić points out.
Vojvodina is expecting a duel with Lithuanian Panevezys at the start of the qualification for the Conference League, and the first match on the program is in a little over a month.
– We have not analyzed the rivals yet, I think we have enough time to see in the next period what their strengths and weaknesses are. I think we did well in the draw and we have a chance to pass. However, we will not take off, we respect every rival, first of all to prepare well and for everyone to be healthy – Nikola Simić concluded.
