The attacker and the captain of Vojvodina FC, Nikola Čumić, will continue his career in Russia, and he gave a statement regarding his leave from Vojvodina FC:
’’First of all, I would like to thank Vojvodina FC for everything they gave me, for bringing me back to life when it comes to football, and helped me go abroad once again. I believed in myself when I arrived, and I believed in the club as well, which fulfilled everything we agreed upon. I experiences my most beautiful career moments in Vojvodina FC, and enjoyed each day, training, and match. At every moment I tried to give my all, and to play each game with a lot of energy.
I believe that I gave back to Vojvodina FC in the best possible way, primarily with my attitude towards the club and the fans, and also with the results I achieved, which earned me the captain’s armband, which is the greatest achievement in my career so far. I would like to thank the fans on their support, on the love they showed me, and I kept my promise that I would leave Serbia only to go abroad. Also, I can now promise them that only one club exists for me in Serbia, and that is Vojvodina, my biggest love in my career, and that today, Vojvodina has gained one true and genuine fan, and I hope that this is not the end of the story between me and Vojvodina FC. I would like to thank the club for meeting me half way regarding this transfer, for doing everything in their power to try to keep me, but simply, it was an offer that you can’t refuse, and such an offer comes only once in a lifetime…Finally, thank all of you for everything, I will support our Voša and celebrate each victory! We are one, that is our strength!”
