Vojvodina striker, 30-year-old Nemanja Čović, was chosen as the best player of the Old Lady in the just finished season, in the traditional selection of fans on the site fkvojvodina.com.
He was also the team’s top scorer this season with 12 goals in all competitions, and he recorded two more assists in 35 games played.
“He received the flattering recognition of us fans primarily because of the fight he shows on the pitch, his love for the red-and-white jersey, his superiority in the air, and only then his goals,” writes, among other things, at the Vojvodina fans’ website, and Nemanja Čović thanked them on this recognition.
– This is certainly a very nice recognition and thanks all the fans for that. I think that the competition was really great and it would not be undeserved if someone else was chosen as the best, because there were many players who played extremely well this season. We missed the fans a lot and I hope that they will be able to come to the stadium again at the beginning of next season, that is, that we will go through all the next challenges together – said Čović.
In the voting for the best player, Čović’s closest companion was Nikola Drinčić, and then Slavko Bralić, while on the list of scorers he was followed by Petar Bojić and Miljan Vukadinović, who both scored 11 goals each. The best assistant of Vojvodina this season was Nikola Drinčić with eight assists, followed by Miljan Vukadinović with six, and Dejan Zukić and Aranđel Stojković with four each.
