Marko Poletanović is the new member of Vojvodina FC and the third reinforcement of the Old Lady this summer.
Poletanović (30) signed a two-year contract with Vojvodina, and this will be his second time playing for his mother club. He plays the position of the defensive midfielder, and he is the third reinforcement of the Old Lady in this transfer window, after the signings of Mihai Butean and Marko Veličković.
- I am very happy to be back in Vojvodina FC, where I made my first steps, won my first trophy, and met friends whom I still have contact with today. Vojvodina is a great club, for two years now they have excellent management led by Dragoljub Zbiljić. The very fact that players from France and Spain are coming to Vojvodina says enough about the greatness of the club. I am happy to be back, and I can’t wait to join the team – Poletanović said.
Poletanović is a local, he started playing football at the Ilija Pantelić Youth Academy, and was later a member of the generation that won the first trophy in the Serbian Cup in 2014.
He left Vojvodina FC in January 2015, after 97 games played in the jersey of the Old Lady. He went to to play for the Belgian Ghent, and later he played for their club Zulte Waregem, then for the Red Star, Tosno, and from 2018 until today he played for the Polish clubs Jagiellonia, Rakow, Wisla Krakow, and most recently for Zaglebie Lubin.
Vojvodina FC wishes their new member and the returnee to Karađorđe plenty of luck and success in the red and white jersey.
