The famous Italian ace and the current sporting director of Bologna, Marco Di Vaio, is a guest of the football club Vojvodina.
He visited FC Vujadin Boškov during a several-day visit, and today he is also a guest at the semi-final match of the Serbian Cup between Vojvodina and Čukarički.
On the eve of the match, Di Vaio expressed his satisfaction with the visit to the Old Lady and Novi Sad and emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation between Bologna and Vojvodina.
– I want to thank the President of Vojvodina, Dragoljub Zbiljić, for his hospitality in the last two days. We talked about our cooperation within the academies and the first team of Vojvodina and Bologna. Also, on this occasion, I would like to emphasize how important the name of Siniša Mihajlović, who was part of both clubs, is for us and what binds us together. Our goal is to progress together, in mutual cooperation in all spheres of football work, in scouting, and in the market, to share experiences and knowledge and to make everything to our mutual satisfaction. This is not our first meeting, given that the president of Vojvodina already visited us in Bologna in January and we have now come to watch an important game and to continue working on improving our cooperation – said Di Vaio.
He pointed out that the infrastructure will be only one segment of the mutual cooperation between the Serbian and Italian clubs, but he pointed out that Bologna closely monitors the development of players in the academy Ilija Pantelić.
– We are extremely satisfied with what we have seen and we think that we can help Vojvodina a lot to further improve the infrastructure, just as we did in Bologna with the arrival of our current president and that is one of the things we will cooperate in. Of course we follow the young players of Vojvodina, but this visit has nothing to do with that, but as I said, to improve and improve our cooperation. We know that Vojvodina is a hotbed of talent and what kind of players have been born in its academy, and that’s certainly why we are happy to have the opportunity to have contacts with such a club – Di Vaio said.
