The coach of Vojvodina FC, Zoran Kuntić, congratulated Red Star on their victory and highlighted that the team turns to the future matches.
Players of the Old Lady lost tonight to Red Star with the result 3:5, and Kuntić believes that the goal of the guest team in the finish of the first half was perhaps the decisive one.
– We started the match aggressively, which resulted in Romanić’s chance 1-on-1, where we failed to score a goal, but we continued to play pressing. Of course, we lowered ourselves into a low block, because we know how the Red Star plays against each rival. The result was of interest to us, we managed to use those two mistakes and took the lead of 2:0. In the end we received a goal which could have been avoided. If we had kept 2:0 at halftime, it is a question what would have happened in the end. In the continuation of the match we received two euro goals in a couple of minutes, we received a red card, and then we managed to draw with a playrr less, and after that Mladenović had a chance to make a change. Red Star is a team with better quality, we fought as much as we could. They have Katai who enjoyed being on the pitch. There is nothing left for us to do, but to congratulate the Red Star on their victory and title. We made five changes due to injured, and already on Wednesday we are playing the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup in Niš, and then we have a match in Lučani for placement into the play-off, Kuntić said.
Voša is playing against the team of Radnički Niš on Wednesday at 4 pm, in the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup.
