The coach of the A team of Vojvodina FC, Zoran Kuntić, believes that winning today was the most important thing for the team.
Players of the Old Lady won against the team of Jedinstvo with the result 1:0, and Kuntić congratulated the guests on the excellent game.
- I congratulate the team of Jedinstvo who had been playing great matches this half-season, and they had a few excellent results. In the winter transfer period, they did an excellent job, motorically and mentally they became a serious team, and we knew that we were facing a difficult task given our current situation. We wanted this victory badly, because we knew that it would keep us in the competition for our placement in Europe. It was a difficult match, the players had a problem in the last couple of days because we have just formed new staff, we were waiting for an assistant coach from Italy, with some new and great ideas. It was not easy for them to understand those ideas so quickly, but it was important to win, and get some air. Now we will start preparing for the game against OFK Beograd. We were not displeased with the engagement of our players, there were some mistakes, and situation where they didn’t react in the best possible way, but we cannot complain about their attitude. The most important thing was to win those 3 points – Kuntić concluded.
The match between OFK Beograd and Vojvodina is scheduled for Sunday at 4:30pm.
