The coach of Vojvodina FC, Nemanja Krtolica believes that his team will show progress in the upcoming match against Radnički Niš.
Players of Vojvodina are welcoming the team of Radnički on Saturday at 8 pm at Karađorđe stadium, and Krtolica first reflected on the previous match against IMT.
- I would like to reflect on the previous match in Loznica. We had plenty of issues, several players were sick, and up until yesterday many players came and asked for medical help. Among them was Lazar Ranđelović, who couldn’t play against IMT and at the friendly match yesterday, because he had a high fever for several days. We introduced a new practice to play friendly matches on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that the younger players, who don’t have many minutes get to be in the competitive rhythm, because we have to be prepared for everything. We overcame it all, brought 3 points to Novi Sad, and I can repeat that I am very pleased, what we need now are points, the game always has to progress, and I hope that the next game will be better. I am also pleased with the way the players are training, and they are aware what we need to get back to where we belong – Krtolica said.
He also complimented the upcoming rival, and especially the coach Nikola Drinčić, who was once the captain of Vojvodina FC.
- We are not entering any game thinking that we won something in advance. As for Radnički, I would like to mention their coach, people like to remember great things, and not many people know that in 2019 in the first part of preparations I was leading the A team for 10 days. After two or three days Drinčić joined us, and that is when we got a player who not only rose the game to a higher level, but also the training for 30%. He played as he trained, and he certainly passed that energy onto his team, so I don’t expect an easy game. We all remember how he used to play when he was in Vojvodina. Our players should also know that he is a positive example of the discipline you need in life and football. Discipline results in habits, and that leads to consistency that later brings about progress, and that is the entire philosophy – Krtolica highlighted.
He also answered the question about medical problems.
- About 40% of players received infusion, but at yesterday’s training the team was complete, and we are waiting for the last training today at 5 pm. Ranđelović has a fever again, after he had been well for 2,3 days. I hope that now everyone is healthy – Krtolica said.
The coach of Vojvodina is pleased with the competition in the attack, where the first choice now is Bamidele, and Depu is also competing.
- With Dele we were wandering a little bit, he changed a lot of positions in Vojvodina. I think that this position now is where he performs best. We have a new attacker, he is training, has plenty of games behind him, he played at the friendly match against Inđija for 60 minutes, and he needs some time to adapt to all our requests. I have no doubt that he will start showing his quality soon. Depu’s quality is not an issue at all, but as all the young players, he has to be patient. What matters the most to us is the scoreboard, that is what keeps us at his position, me at the position of a coach, and them in public. That is the reaction of the fans who pay for the tickets – Krtolica said.
In the end, he reflected on the main weapons of the opponent from Niš.
- Interruptions are a great weapon of Radnički, and we have to come to a position where we deal only with ourselves, and not with analyzing the opponent that much. Of course, we will always deal with the opponent, but I try to help the players have freedom to show creativity, and for that you need discipline. Football is not only about going forward and scoring. It is a big thing that in the last 3 matches we didn’t receive a single goal. I would have been mad if in any way we received a goal at the last match – Krtolica pinpointed.
He also pointed out that victories mean a lot to him, but that he is already thinking about the next match, because Voša should always aim for the victory.
- These two victories mean a lot to us, we caught our breath, but we still haven’t surfaced. Vojvodina is a team that must always aim for the win, the atmosphere in the club and in the dressing room is excellent. Of course there is pressure, but the only question is how we will handle it. I live from match to match, and tomorrow we are aiming for victory as always – Krtolica concluded.
The match between Vojvodina and Radnički is scheduled for Saturday at 8 pm, and it will be broadcasted live on RTV1 and Arena Premium 3.
