The coach of Vojvodina, Nemanja Krtolica, believes that his team has a responsibility to once again play for the victory, and correct the mistakes from the previous match against Radnički.

Players of the Old Lady are welcoming the team of Novi Pazar on Wednesday, in the delayed match of the second round of Mozzart Bet Superleague of Serbia, and Krtolica first reflected on the previous game with Radnički.

  • First of all, I have to compliment all those who came to the match, and who supported us during those 90 minutes with Radnički. If I would have to evaluate the support with 1-5, I would say it was a 10. The match ended with a draw 3:3, and what I am pleased about is the fact that there was no single team member who didn’t give their maximum at the match. Desire and energy are at a high level, and we are striving towards making a team which doesn’t care about the pain and the suffering, but always fights together for the victory. Our expectations are again to win, and we have no other goal but to win the match. There were some questions about why Depu didn’t enter the match when Dele left the pitch, and the answer is simple – the result was 1:0 for us at that point. The debut of Ranđelović would have been much more complicated because of the bonus player rule, and that is why we had to do it in that way. We tried to gain depth, and if something goes wrong, as it did, then we would have the option to change something, and that was the idea – Krtolica explained.

For the match against Pazar, Bamidele is under a question mark, because he left the match after scoring against Radnički.

  • Bamidele is under a huge question mark, he will have one more therapy session tomorrow, and then we will learn what the situation is – Krtolica said.

Next, the coach of Vojvodina further analyzed the current situation in the team.

– This is not the team that started the season. Last year, our bonus was the team captain, and we cannot just press a button and make everything better. The pressure that we had with Ivanović, Vukanović and Zukić is evidently not like it was, and we have to make that better at each training session, and at the match. There is one program that tracks each important parameter, and it was to our advantage in this match so much that the last time it happened was when Mima Rastavac was the coach, at the match against Mladost. There were some things that were bad, we score 3 goals, missed a penalty, and had 3-4 more chances. It would be hard to create 20 chances, and we did what was up to us. In the moment when Radnički drew for 1:1, we had 7:4 in our penalty area, and those are the things that we have to improve. You have 93:40 and a foul for us in the middle, and we perform it for 3 seconds. At that moment, I don’t have the option to change players, and that is why those players who are on the pitch have to think hard, that sometimes you need to slow down, and then happened that situation which happened, only a minute later. Njegoš Petrović was replaced for the first time, and he ran to pass the captain tag and leave the pitch, and that is proof that there’s unity in the team, and the right atmosphere, and I have no doubt about the players’ dedication to the team. When it comes to the situation on the scoreboard, I agree that it is not good, but we didn’t lose four games, we have 8 out of 12 points at the last 4 matches. We are still not satisfied, and we want to progress more. Each player will get some minutes, and each one is covered, or they will play in Kabel or Mladost GAT, so that everyone keeps the competitive rhythm. We have to think about all the young players, and those who don’t play need to be patients, everyone will get their chance.

I have no remarks about the performance or the behavior, and if I saw three or four players who don’t want to do something, I would pack my things and go. If someone has a dilemma whether I as the head of staff can hold everything under control, if Petrović leaves the pitch like he did, and Poletanović enters like he did and be the best on the pitch…everyone is an expert. The club and the fans need to be patient, I have no dilemma that I can leave if things don’t go right. I am a soldier of the club 24/7 – Krtolica pointed out.

He is expecting another difficult game against Novi Pazar, especially because of Adem Ljajić.

– Last year we lost in Novi Pazar. They have one amazing individual around whom everything revolves. He is not a player of small characteristics, but great ones, and he can shift the match with one move. Of course, there are other players too, and Pazar has a wide pool of players. Novi Pazar depends on how Adem Ljajić will play – Krtolica highlighted.

In the end, he accepted the criticism about the oscillations in the match, and highlighted that the team will continue working on that.

  • I have to talk all the time and draw attention to whether they stop believing at some point during the game. We have to talk openly about that. Habits are formed in a certain time period, and everyone has to be in rotation, you can’t find the ideal 10. We have falls in the game, when don’t do the first pressure right. When we do things well in the offence, then everything goes smoothly. I think the problem appears when the opponent finds a weak spot, and make a problem. However, we get back to the game again. We have to lower those amplitudes, and look for ways to solve everything – Krtolica concluded.

This match has a charity character as well, because all together, just like on Saturday, we can help Bojan Matavulj who suffered a car accident, and remained in a wheelchair.
