Football club Vojvodina informs the sports public that the former player of the Old Lady, Zoran Dakić, passed away today at the age of 80.
Zoran Dakić was born on July 28, 1941 in Šabac, where he started his football career in Mačva. Then he was a member of OFK Beograd and part of the best generation in the history of this club, and after that, in the 1966/67 season, he became a member of Vojvodina, whose jersey he wore until 1970 and during that time played 137 official matches.
After Vojvodina, he played for the French clubs Reims and Ajaccio, and ended his career in 1975 in Proleter from Zrenjanin. After finishing his football career, he returned to Novi Sad, where he lived until his death. His son Željko Dakić also played for Vojvodina, with whom he won the title of champion of Yugoslavia in 1989.
The football club Vojvodina and the Veterans’ Section of FK Vojvodina express their sincere and deepest condolences to the family of Zoran Dakić, his friends, former clubs and everyone who knew him.
