Another sad news hit everyone at FK Vojvodina this morning.
Until yesterday, the oldest living former player of the Old Lady, Dragić Živković, died at the age of 95.
Dragić Živković was born on February 9, 1928 in Mošorin, and he played for Vojvodina from 1947 to 1956, in the position of left half. During that time, he played 168 competitive games for Voša and was part of the famous “golden generation” with Vujadin Boškov, Todor Veselinović and others, which reached the final of the former Marshal Tito Cup in 1951, which was the club’s first significant success after the World War 2.
He was a dentist by profession, and after the end of his football career he lived in Australia for a long time. After retiring in 1993, he returned to Novi Sad, where he remained until his death.
FK Vojvodina expresses its sincere and deep condolences to the family of Dragić Živković, his friends and everyone who knew him.
