The defender of the net of Vojvodina FC is a pearl of Serbian football, who has a winner’s mentality. You can see that from his attitude at trainings, matches, but also from his words.

Matija Gočmanac (21) is ready to continue the series of extraordinary goalkeepers ‘’produced’’ by the Serbian football. From his four matches this season, it is clear that we are talking about a goalkeeper with great talent.

  • I am honoured to have received the chance to defend the net of such a great club. Everyday I soak in advice from my older colleagues, the coach Nenad Lalatović, and the goalkeepers’ coach, Milan Jovanić. My focus is, and at the same time that is the only thing that matters, to start winning. I don’t think about myself and my personal contribution that much, but only about the team and the club – Gočmanac began his story.

The foundation for a series of good results has been set.

  • The international break was beneficial, we raised the intensity of our trainings, we worked hard, and now is the time to show that through results. There were some significant changes to the team this season, but I firmly believe in this team. I think it is only a matter of time when we will enter a series of wins – Gočmanac underlined.

On Saturday, we are welcoming the team of Tekstilac in Novi Sad.

  • A well-organized and disciplined team. These matches are the hardest, because many already see us as winners. We prepared well for them, and we can’t wait for the game to show everything on the pitch – Voša’s goalkeeper said.

The first rival is absolutely the most important one, and after that we have the chance to present ourselves in the best possible light.

  • Precisely! We are facing matches against direct rivals in the fight for the top of the scoreboard. We are Vojvodina, and we want to win every match. Our ambitions are high, and we cannot settle for less – he said.
