Vojvodina will play one more, the last control game before the start of the 2023/24 season, and the rival of the Old Lady will be Borac from Banja Luka.
After Radoslav Batak’s team completed the main part of the preparations in Mariborsko Pohorje in Slovenia, where they remained undefeated for five games, the brother club from Banja Luka will visit Novi Sad in the general rehearsal.
FK Vojvodina has decided to open the gates to its fans for the first match of this season, so admission is free on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The management led by president Dragoljub Zbiljić, coach Batak, coaching staff and players invite all fans to come and greet the players as they enter the new season, but also their special rival, the brotherly club from Banja Luka.
As is known, Voša and Borac have a special connection, and the club from Banja Luka was founded on July 4, 1926 and plays at the City stadium, with a capacity of 10,030 seats.
Vinko Marinović is on the bench of Borac, and it should be noted that last season Borac finished second in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that, like Voša, it will start from the second round of qualification for the Conference League against Vienna Austria.
Our brother club achieved the greatest successes in history in the championship seasons of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010/11 and 2020/21, as well as in the 1987/88 season, when Borac won the then Marshal Tito Cup. Borac won the then national cup as a second division team, and was unique in the history of that competition.
On this occasion, FK Vojvodina, at the upcoming match at Karađorđe, wishes Borac and his fans a happy start to the new season 2023/24.
