Vojvodina coach Slavoljub Đorđević is satisfied after his team ‘s victory over Metalist 1925.
The Old Lady beat Metalist 3-2, and Đorđević especially praised the character of his team.
– In the first 10-15 minutes we were not at the required level, after that we started to play high and aggressively and do what we agreed. In the second half, we played very high, we scored two goals and we played great. And if we hadn’t won today, I would have been pleased with what I saw. What makes me especially happy is the character of the team in the fourth week of preparations. The boys played another competitive game, they were real and I want them to continue like this and for everyone to be healthy – said Đorđević.
Coach of Voša also praised the transfer window, because he believes that competition is extremely important for the team’s progress.
– Matić is a proven player, a real reinforcement, he is extremely intelligent and we knew that he would fit in immediately. I am especially happy that we have strong competition, that we can play at a strong intensity at any time and that we can all improve our form together. In football, competition is extremely important, because it forces players to constantly give their best. Also, it is important to me as a coach that I can rest someone and not force individuals to play tired. I hope that by the end of the transfer window, we will be able to bring at least one more central back, maybe a side back too, and then we will be much stronger in the spring. In the last week of preparations, we will slow down the pace a bit, refresh the players a bit and welcome the continuation of the championship in the right form – Đorđević emphasized.
In the last control match, Voša will meet Slavia from Sofia on Thursday.
– We already had a lot of players in this game who played 60 minutes each, three players 90 minutes each. The plan is for a few more to play the whole match against Slavia, especially the defense, which needs and can play 90 minutes. When you play aggressively and high, it is difficult for players in the offensive part to withstand that intensity for 90 minutes, so that is why we rotate them more – Đorđević concluded.
