The coach of Vojvodina, Slavoljub Đorđević, believes that the division of points is the fairest result in the Vojvodina derby in Subotica.
Today, Vojvodina drew away with Spartak 2-2, in the fifth round of the Serbian Super League, and Đorđević praised the performance of both teams.
– The derby lived up to expectations, the game was open on both sides. We had 1-0 at halftime, we had a clear idea of how we want to play in the second half, but Spartak proved what we knew before the game, and that is that our rival is an unpleasant team that plays attacking football. They managed to turn it around to 2-1, but we came back and equalized again and then we had two or three dead chances in one attack. We could have won, but we could also have lost. I think that the draw is the fairest – said Đorđević.
Novica Maksimović and Vladimir Kovačević, who suffered injuries before this match, were not in the squad of the Old Lady today.
– Maksa made an awkward movement during the training two days ago and could not play, and Kovačević felt pain in the receiver in the game against LASK, and the ultrasound showed damage. That is why we came today with 17 players. That is not an excuse, but such are the circumstances. We are moving on – Đorđević concluded.
In the next round, Vojvodina will meet Novi Pazar on Sunday at 4:30 PM.
