His football journey brought him to Serbia, where he wants to leave a mark. He has a clear vision on how to reach the set goals.

Davide Moro is an assistant coach in Vojvodina FC, and someone who with his energy and desire immediately showed the path to success. The Italian expert, who worked in Empoli FC, believes that better days are coming for the team from Novi Sad.

When he received a call from Miroslav Tanjga, the head of staff, he had no dilemma what to answer.

  • Vojvodina is a big club with rich history. When I received the call, I accepted the offer immediately, without thinking. I came here with great energy and passion to make something that the club as great as Vojvodina deserves – said Davide Moro, assistant coach with UEFA A licence.

A reflection on the Serbian championship shows that Voša is in a place below the club’s expectations and reputation.

  • The season is not easy, when you change three-four coaches it is clear that the situation was not ideal, and that a change is necessary. Our job is to take it match by match, start lining up victories, and become a team.

As an ex-player, Moro perfectly understands the way players think, the atmosphere in the team, and their needs…

  • My goal is to help the team grow. I want all of us to make the team better. I played football professionally, and I understand all situations on the pitch and outside it. Vojvodina is in a difficult situation, but that is why we are here. I give my maximum when working with the team, and I am certain that we will play more quality football, and start winning.

The message at the end of the conversation was more than clear:

  • I want to help the players. Our assignment as coaches is to help them. We have to work hard and with dedication every day, and those are the foundations of everything – Davide Moro concluded.
