The captain of Vojvodina, Nemanja Čović, was satisfied after the turnover of his team in the victory over Radnicki 1923.
The Old Lady has beaten the team from Kragujevac on Sunday after a turnover with the result 3-1, and Čović scored the third goal from the penalty spot and thus confirmed the triumph of his team.
– After the first half and their lead, after the meeting in the locker room, we came to life and played very well, reversed the result and showed the right character. Vukadinović’s goal announced a turnaround, Simić played great, scored a goal, extorted a penalty. We all played well, our attack finally showed its true face, everything was set up and as it should be. The changes were good, Zukić also brought something new from the bench, I think that the second half is the best indicator of how much this team can do – said Čović.
Vojvodina is already expecting a new match at Karađorđe with Jagodina in the Serbian Cup on Wednesday, and the captain pointed out that his team always has the greatest ambitions in this competition.
– Cup competition is always difficult, there is not much difference whether the rival is from the Super League or a third league. No one has the right to make a mistake, the game is hard and on the result and that brings some pressure. However, Vojvodina likes to play in the Cup, we always have the greatest ambitions and I hope that we will go to the very end this season as well. We will do our best to repeat the successes from some previous seasons, because we have shown that we know how to play that competition – Čović concluded.
